The West Texas A&M University Advertising/Public Relations Society will be helping with an event to raise money for the Panhandle AIDS Support Organization, Inc. (PASO). This fundraiser will be Nov. 10 at 7:00 p.m. at the Sunset Center in Amarillo.

PASO is a not-for-profit support agency that offers education to the general public and emotional support to those persons infected with HIV disease in the 26 counties of the Texas Panhandle.

“On behalf of the WT Ad/PR Society we haven’t really got to host many events, so getting this opportunity we are very excited about,” said Julia Greif, secretary for the WT Ad/PR Society. “Also getting to meet a lot of new great people and serve the community.”

This fundraiser is a drag show where people who want to participate will dress up, dance, and lips synch.

“This is a great organization that puts on an event every year to raise money and awareness for AIDS in the panhandle,” said Zivorad Filipovic, photographer and videographer for the WT Ad/PR Society. “It is always so much fun but for a great cause.”

If you would like to attend this event the tickets for general admission are $25 per person. You can also buy tables to sit at which guarantees you will have a seat. Tables can seat from two up to eight people depending on what table you want to buy.

“An organization that helps the people that have been rejected by society should be better known so more people can receive the help that they need,” said Alex Montoya, a member of the WT Ad/PR Society.
