Seasons Come and Go, The Time is for Fall, I Know

Seasons+Come+and+Go%2C+The+Time+is+for+Fall%2C+I+Know

As autumn falls onto the WT campus, we students prepare ourselves for the chilled months ahead. Time to dust off those sweaters and cute boots from the back of our closets. Okay let’s be honest, the boots are a fashion statement 365 days a year (366 days in a leap year). It was just too hard to put them away in the first place. Jackets and rain ponchos are purchased to combat random flash floods. There was a flash flood warning sometime last week in case you didn’t catch the memo. The pelting rain should have been a sign. Even though apocalyptic weather was here last week it still doesn’t stop the sun from shining brightly this week. As someone from Portland; seriously Texas, make up your mind!
Warm weather gear is a necessity in times of apparent climate change, even when the temperature is drastically warmer at the start of the day than it is near the end. You might want to reconsider shorts in the morning despite the sun making an appearance. Like I mentioned, Texas needs to choose a temperature and stick to it! Fall isn’t all about the changing weather though. There are also tons of tasty treats we get to indulge in!
That’s right the time of year is upon us for pumpkin flavored everything! We have cakes, pies, cookies, breads, and most importantly, pumpkin spiced lattes to name a few. Facebook just informed me there is such a thing as pumpkin spice cheesecake enchiladas with a caramel drizzle. What will the internet think up next? It doesn’t end there. Last week I even spotted pumpkin flavored beer at the store. I’m not sure if that’s a new thing but given the pumpkin high everyone is on I wouldn’t be surprised. If we’re lucky some people might even turn into pumpkins. Alas not all is lost! When that happens have no fear, you won’t have to purchase a costly Halloween Costume.
