Student representatives from West Texas A&M University’s student-run public relations firm, 1910 PR, attended the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) International Conference in San Diego, Calif. to expand their knowledge of public relations techniques, gain professional development, and network with peers.

WTAMU Department of Communication students Mallory Grimm, 1910 PR executive director, Kelsey Kilburn, assistant director, Jered Lopez, external communications manager, and Trey Runyan, internal communications manager traveled to the 4-day conference, which consisted of professional development sessions, officer breakout sessions, and networking with PRSSA chapters and student-run firms from across the country. Some of the speakers included Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Bob Woodward, Will Collie, general manager Southern California of Edelman, award-winning journalist and TV and web host Laura Ling, and Suzi Brown, vice president of communication at Disneyland Resort.
