Growing up in a small country town didn’t stop me from being a punk rock Texan kid. While everybody listened to our teachers views on recent and historical events, I searched elsewhere so I could make up my own mind, and it landed me in a bit of trouble a few times. Despite verbal ridicule, being harassed due to my religious beliefs (or lack thereof,) and criticism of the media I consumed, I survived, brains in tact, a pen in my hand, and my will unshaken. I peruse nonbiased stories, and wish to be wise enough to check my own biases at the door.
