Lady Buffs fall to ACU

The WTAMU women’s soccer team suffered their first loss in LSC play Oct. 8 falling to ACU 4-1 at Wildcat Pitch.

The Lady Wildcats struck in the 6th minute thanks to Ashley Holton.  The score remained 1-0 at halftime.

ACU made it 2-0 just five minutes into the second half when Courtney Wilson fired home an assist from Holton.

WT got on the board just 26 seconds later when Samantha Cameron slotted home her shot to give the Lady Buffs hope.

Any hopes of a comeback were dashed in the 62nd minute when Krysta Grimm scored off a throw in to make it 3-1.

Holton got her second goal of the match in the 78th to complete the victory for ACU.

Kelly Skehan made six saves in the match bringing her overall record to 6-2-3 and 2-1-1 in LSC play.

The Lady Buffs will now travel to Wichita Falls to take on #21 ranked Midwestern State Oct. 10.
