On April 29, WTAMU honored three students who died during the past school year. The service, sponsored by Student Government, took place at the J.A. Hill Chapel.
Every year, scholarships are awarded in memory of students honored at the memorial service. This year’s scholarship receipients are:
- Konner Ellison: Sophmore Nursing major from Lock•ney, who received the scholarship in memory of Teddy Mitchel, a graduate student in Nursing from Amarillo, who died Jan. 6, 2011.
- Loyce Chintsanya: Junior Nursing major from Canyon, who received the scholarship in memory of Lorie Stone, a sophmore Nursing major from Vega, who died Aug. 21, 2010.
- Nicholas Shelton: Junior Finance major from Amarillo, who received the scholarship in memory of Kendrick Cutsinger, a sophmore General Business major from Ausin, who died Sept. 3, 2010.
Students received scholarships in memory of those who passed away this school year.
