The WTAMU Art Department will host the annual night-blow event where glass will cause a glow on campus.
The event will start at six p.m. on Sept. 26 at the Mary Moody Northern Recital Hall and is open to the surrounding community.
“We have Thomas Kreager and Carlyn Ray as our glass guest artist,” Jessica Hargis, graduate student in sculpture, said. ”We will pull people from the crowd to join in glass-blowing.”
Hagris said it’s a family and friends event and last year they started in the evening and it ended at five in the morning.
“There will be a cookout in the patio,” Hagris said. “There will be an auction of centerpieces made by Chad Holliday and his students.”
Projects by students will also be for sale during the event. Chad Holliday, assistant professor in art, urges everyone to attend.
“I encourage students and the public to come to the event because it is pretty interesting and our visiting artists will be working on some projects,” Holliday said.
