The WTAMU Lady Buff volleyball team took a break from LSC play Oct. 19 to take on Lubbock Christian University in Lubbock, Texas.
WT avenged an early season loss at home to LCU in five sets by returning the favor and winning in the exact same fashion.
The Lady Buffs came out strong taking the first two sets by scores of 25-16 and 25-13.
LCU made things difficult by winning the third and fourth sets 25-16, and 26-24 respectively.
WT eventually put away the Lady Chaps in the fifth set thanks to an 8-0 run late on to win the set 15-7.
Junior Erika Dupree recorded her seventh triple-double of the season with 10 kills, 17 digs and 31 assists. Freshman Ashley Davis had 15 kills on the night. Sophomore Libero Lauren Beville led the Lady Buffs with 22 digs in the match.
The Lady Buffs returns home Oct. 21 when they try and extend their LSC winning streak to 75 games against Incarnate Word. First serve is set for 7 p.m. at “The Box.”
