The WTAMU men’s basketball team was on the road Nov. 29 against Oklahoma Panhandle State University at Oscar Williams Fieldhouse in Goodwell, Okla.
WT came away with an 86-60 victory over the Aggies.
The Buffs came out on fire against OPSU leading 32-13 at the 10:40 mark of the first half. WT led by as much as 20 with 9:08 remaining. At halftime, WT was in firm control leading 44-29.
Things didn’t change much in the second half. With 9:06 left in the second half, WT held a 72-45 advantage.
OPSU never threatened the rest of the way as they were only able to trim the Buffs’ lead to 11 points during the entire second half.
WT finished strong the rest of the way and came out with an 86-60 decision improving their record to 4-0 on the season.
Leading the scoring on the night for the Buffs was senior Joe Mincey with 19 points. Fellow senior LaDarius Hall was close behind with 17 points. Junior Courtney Carr chipped in 15 points on the night.
The Buffs will now prepare to take on Cameron University in the Lone Star Conference opener on Dec. 2 at the First United Bank Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m.
