On Oct. 31, the WTAMU CORE office hosted the annual Fall Carnival and Concert, which was open to the community.
Multiple WT student organizations participated in the event, setting up various booths for children to enjoy.
Senior Katherine Pongallo participated in a Story Time booth, which was hosted by the Mortar Board. She said she loved the fact that the families came to interact with the students at WT.
“It’s my first time at the carnival and hosting the booth by Mortar Board, but I’ve enjoyed the participation of the public and the kids,” said Pongallo. “It’s safe and I loved to interact with the kids and to see them excited when they were about the book and the candy.”Freshman Cecilia Martinez was helping with the Alpha Sigma Alpha booth.
“[The carnival] was really cute and everyone seemed real productive,” said Martinez. “It’s a safe way for kids to enjoy Halloween. I think a lot of the kids enjoyed the ATO booth.”
J-Town’s booth put on Putt-Putt Jockey and Senior Jose Garcia helped with the participants.
“I enjoyed the carnival, interacting with the kids and helping out with the booth,” said Garcia “I loved to see the kids happy when they won the games and received their candy.”
